TEMS International, an independent provider of environmental management and compliance services to the global oil and gas industry, has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The Aberdeen-headquartered company, which has offices in Houston and Kuala Lumpur, gained the internationally recognised quality management certification following a successful audit by risk management and quality assurance company DNV GL.

In achieving the ISO 9001:2015 standard TEMS International has demonstrated its ability to consistently and effectively provide services which exceed customer and regulatory requirements. The accreditation also reflects TEMS International’s commitment to improved efficiencies, waste reduction and continual improvement of services and their delivery.

Those services, which are provided to oil and gas operators around the world, are focused on managing and optimising drilling performance and drilling waste onboard installations, while ensuring the asset remains in environmental compliance.

Bill Walkingshaw, TEMS International managing director, said: “Receiving ISO 9001:2015 certification is testament to the hard work of our whole team in establishing a robust quality management system and delivering a service that is respected by our clients. The accreditation will provide oil and gas operators and members of the wider supply chain with added confidence in our capabilities and service offering.”
